3×3 League

The HD Basketball 3x3 League is a fast-paced, five-week competition designed to challenge student-athletes in a dynamic 3-on-3 format. With no coaches on the court, teams build chemistry through more ball touches, quicker decision-making and increased fitness demands compared to traditional 5-on-5 play. The fall season—running from September 2 to October 2—is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone, have fun with friends and sharpen your skills under USA Basketball and FIBA rules.

Key Details

• Duration: 5 weeks (September 2 – October 2)

• Schedule: Weeks 1–4: League play; Week 5: Tournament finals

• Commitment: 4 games per night, 1 hour time slot

• Shot Clock: 12 seconds

• Game Format: First to 21 points or 10 minutes

• Scoring:

  • Inside arc & free throws: 1 point

  • Outside arc: 2 points
